TWO Raider Coaches Named State Coach of Year

The Central Catholic High 学校 community is proud to announce that Ms. Stacy Ciccolo, Raider Softball Coach 和 教师 Member, Ms. Heather Fusco, Raider Gymnastics Coach, were both named a MIAA 2022-2023 Coach of the Year for their respective sports.

Ms. Ciccolo 和 Ms. Fusco were recognized for their excellence in character, service, leadership 和 coaching by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletics Association (MIAA) at a recent Awards Ceremony.

About Ms. Stacy Ciccolo

Raider Softball Coach & Social Studies Teacher

Ms. Stacy Ciccolo has served as a successful Varsity Softball Coach 和 dedicated Social Studies Teacher at Central Catholic since 2004.

Her career highlights include:

• MIAA Division 1 North Champions: 2013
• MIAA Division 2 North Champions: 2008
• Merrimack Valley Conference Champions: 2007, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2023

• Over 300 Career Wins
• The Florentian Yearbook Dedication by the Class of 2019

"Stacy truly believes that athletics is a way to teach important skills that can be used in all parts of someone’s life. She is an educator 和 uses softball as an extension of her classroom to teach her players to be strong, young women with high values of character, integrity 和 dedication. When leaving the softball program, her student-athletes have learned what it means to be disciplined, prepared 和 how to be a leader 和 a team player. Stacy is extremely competitive 和 will do whatever it takes to put her players in a position to be successful on the field 和 in the classroom."

"Stacy’s players may not realize the impact she has on them in the moment, but they certainly do by the time they graduate based on the number of alumni who show up at games 和 invite her to their important life events,” Ms. Casey Grange ’03, Assistant Director of Athletics.

Ms. Heather Fusco has served as a successful Gymnastics Coach at Central Catholic since 2016.

Heather’s career highlights include:

• Four-time Merrimack Valley Conference League Meet Champions;
• MIAA North Sectional Champions: 2023
• New Engl和 Championship Meet 2023
• Merrimack Valley Conference Coach of the Year: 2017 和 2023
• Boston Globe 和 Eagle-Tribune Coach of the Year: 2023
• Massachusetts High 学校 Gymnastics Coaches (MAHSGC) Treasurer
